March for Our Lives

If I’m going to promote student activists protesting for a safer world, I have to include the movement against gun violence. There isn’t really anything I can add to what they’re saying. A lot of young people feel threatened by gun violence, so they’re working to get gun laws changed.

March for Our Lives began as a movement against school shootings and has expanded to become a movement against factors that contribute to gun violence: The cultural and moral values of guns and violence, political corruption by people who favor guns and violence, political apathy by people who oppose guns and violence but don’t see what they can do about it, and poverty and mental illness that push people to desperation, anger, and violence.
